MSC Seascape Cruise - August, 2024

Day 4 – Sea Day

Sunday, August 4

We were up on Sunday early enough to catch the sunrise from the Yacht Club pool area on Deck 20:

We had breakfast at the pool buffet when it opened, then around 10:30a we ventured out from the Yacht Club area for the first time to check out the Venchi chocolate bar on Deck 6.

Now that we had gotten out of our Yacht Club bubble, we decided to explore more of the ship.  This is the Bridge of Sighs at the aft of Deck 16:

Looking down from the Yacht Club area on Deck 20, this area is the Top 19 Solarium, which is exclusive to those booked with the Aurea spa package (it is also accessible to Yacht Club passengers).  It has two hot tubs and a bar.  For a sea day, which is normally very crowded, neither the Yacht Club nor the Top 19 Solarium was packed; plenty of open loungers.

Although lunch yesterday wasn't a success, we decided to give the Yacht Club restaurant another try today for dinner.  Unfortunately, the same issues arose.  Even though it wasn't particularly crowded at 6:30p, courses took forever.  We spoke to our waiter and asked if we could hurry it up, but total time from appetizer to dessert was almost 2 hours.

When we returned from dinner, we had been given a bottle of champagne, a fruit bowl, a plate of macaroons and a bar of dark chocolate:

Final step count for Day 4:
