MSC Seascape Cruise - August, 2024
Day 8 – Nassau, Bahamas
Thursday, August 8
After avoiding it for the pool buffet for several days, we decided to give the Yacht Club restaurant another try, this time for breakfast.
As you can see, at 7:30a there were a grand total of 4 of us in the entire restaurant. I was optimistic that the service would be faster.
Unfortunately, my optimism could not will the food to appear any quicker. This was my view for the first 30 minutes:
This ended our dining at the Yacht Club restaurant. I can tell you they did NOT get a 10 on the survey.
Let's take a look around Deck 6:
For dinner, we opted to use our Diamond privilege of a free Specialty Restaurant and chose Butcher's Cut. Our reservation was for 6:30p. All week long, we did not ask our butler to escort us anywhere. That seemed unnecessary and a little too much. But tonight our butler found out about our steak house reservation, showed up to our cabin at 6:15 and insisted on escorting us down to Deck 8 to the restaurant.
This is the standard menu for Butcher's Cut:
For the free Diamond meal, you order from the Dining Experience menu:
I'm happy to report the table did not stay empty for long, unlike the Yacht Club restaurant. Our courses came out at a healthy pace and we were well taken care of by the waitstaff. I guess maybe I was hungry because I somehow only managed to get pictures of dessert (New York Cheesecake and Lava Cake):
Final step count for Day 8:
